Bikers discover an abandoned cage and what they find there changes their lives forever
Every time I think of people who harm animals, or even leave them to die, I feel sad.But fortunately, there are heroes too. Bret Winingar and his son Zach are two I’d like to thank in particular.
Bret and Zach were riding their motorcycles on the back roads around Little Rock, Arkansas, when they saw an old dog carrier.Their curiosity was piqued and they went for a closer look. Shockingly, inside was a dog suffering from severe malnutrition.
The cage was covered in excrement and the dog had cut a hole in the cage to free herself. The father and son left the dog for a while. They drove back with food and water.
Bret and Zach decided to name him Charlie Bravo.
The first thing Bret and Zach did was trim Charlie Bravo’s claws.
They determined that she was about eight months old.Given the wounds on Charlie’s body, the vet assumed that she had been in the carrier for a long time.
Charlie Bravo’s story quickly spread on Facebook. Bret and Zach quickly began receiving donations from well-wishers who wanted to help pay for Charlie’s vet bills.
