School choirs often go unnoticed despite their spectacular performances, but this group of girls from the Frensham Madrigals stands out for all the right reasons, thanks to performances like this.

Formed in 1964 by Michael Howard, a music teacher at Frensham Heights School in Surrey, England, the Frensham Madrigals specialize in Renaissance and early Baroque music, particularly madrigals. Comprising around 20 to 25 students from the school, the choir has earned a reputation for its high-quality performances and unique repertoire.

Their rendition of Queen’s iconic “Bohemian Rhapsody” at one of their school festivals, featuring the voices of Charlotte Nicholls and Katie Lee, showcases their exceptional talent.

It’s hard to believe, but it’s been nearly 50 years since Queen’s legendary “Bohemian Rhapsody” was first released. Freddie Mercury initiated the piece in the late 1960s, and when he introduced it to his bandmates in the 1970s, they were initially puzzled. The song took three weeks to record, resulting in something truly original and beautiful.

The Frensham Madrigals’ version is truly outstanding. These girls have won numerous competitions over the years, and it’s easy to see why. Watch the full video below and drop us a Facebook comment to share your thoughts!
